Cinda Waldbuesser (new ATC President) will be our speaker for the Fall Dinner. More details about the dinner and program will be provided in the October club newsletter. While she is visiting the area, several activities are planned to share about the recovery of the Appalachian Trail and communities from Hurricane Helene plus allow engagement with maintainers and partners. Our itinerary will be weather dependent, so some choices are made that day. (Options in case of rain being developed.)
Morning (8:45 – 11:00 am) Nolichucky River and Erwin with ~1 mile hike up to Cliff Ridge for the views
Early lunch (11:30 am – 1:00 pm) Whistlestop in Unicoi
Afternoon (1:00 – 3:30 pm) Iron Mtn Gap with short hike, then head for Kingsport
Evening (5:30 – 9:00 pm) Eastman Lodge starting with Happy “Trails” Hour, dinner, awards, and presentation
