The Smokies 900 Miler (S900M) represents hiking all of the 900+ miles of trail in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Reaching this milestone is deceiving. The lowest number of miles to claimed by a 900 miler is 1092. Most 900 milers reach the 1500 mile mark before becoming a 900 miler because they cannot avoid doing the same trail more than once.
