As seen below, the medium rated hike is very common in this region.

The trail wiki is using this definition: Medium: Between 5 to 10 miles with possible total elevation change in the 1000-1800 ft range. Good for an experienced hiker.

These are typically 3-6 hour hikes depending on how fast you walk, how frequently you stop to admire the views or wildflowers, and how long of a lunch break. Allow at least half hour per mile - unless you are a trail runner.
