Pinnacle Mountain Fire Tower[edit]
I've added an elevation profile view for the trail from Google Earth. I spent some (tedious) time tweaking the GPS track to better match the visual trail and it now rounds to 4.8mi. I also discovered an interesting behavior. Google Earth's calculation of the data changes if I change the width of the window. Presumably changing the points of resolution it's using for the calculations. Anyway, it appears that there are some minor descents along the way and they add up to ~800-1000'.
