Unused hike description - decided for a waterfall/cooler hike in July, maybe do this in the fall

This will not be part of the "official" hike the TEHCC A.T. but a chance for Families and Beginners (F/B) to see some of the A.T. and do some lesser mileage. Cross Mountain, on the old Osborne Farm property, is a beautiful part that often ends up stuck playing second fiddle to the Roan Balds in our area. We'll meet and depart the Colonial Heights location at 9am and be at the trail head at 10am. Plan is to park where the A.T. crosses TN91 and hike up Cross Mountain to the Double Springs Shelter. We'll have lunch there and return for a total of 5.8 miles. We should be done and back to Kingsport by mid afternoon.
