| Trail Comment | A reason you will have this trail all to yourself during the summer is the vast amount of stinging nettles, especially if wearing shorts. The trail was clear and in good condition. Could use a few water diversions reopened to get the flow off the path to prevent further erosion. |
| Hike Comment | Parked at the upper gate at sunrise to beat the heat. Uphill purpose was to repaint the red blazes. More of the rhododendron on the side trail to The Channels was lopped until my must-leave time was reached. Worked on the growth in a couple places during return, but pushed on as family does not believe I return from personal hikes within two hours of my estimated time. Arrived home only 15 minutes late! |
