If you aren't sure or need anything\, reach out and we can all bring extra cold-water gear. Helmets are required and bike helmets are not acc eptable.  Rec boats on this section of the Watauga that spray skirts don 't fit on and if they have no float bags\, swamp with water and turn over so make sure you can get a skirt on your boat before you come. Sit-on-Tops should have Thigh Straps.We stop for a break about halfway down so don't forget your power snacks! We are usually off the water by 7:00 or so and a fter we get back to the Ballpark &\; transfer boats back to our vehicle s by 7:30-ish.Directions: From W Elk Ave in Elizabethton >\;Turn onto W est Mill Street at the MISO Teriyaki House.Take the first street on Left o nto Ash Street. Follow that street to the end and you will see the river. Turn left and pull into the small paved parking area near a covered picnic area. Look for boats!
