 ile round-trip hike\, fairly flat\n\nWe will be hiking from the A.T. cross
 ing of US321/HW67 just east of Hampton\, TN. The trail follows the southsi
 de of Watauga Lake all the way to the dam. It is around 3 miles to the dam
  and we will come back the same route along the A.T. for a total of 6 mile
 s. There are great views of the lake and mountains in the area. We will pl
 an on meeting at the trailhead at 9 AM.  The hike should be done around n
 oon\, so bring snacks/light lunch to enjoy when we get back to the cars. T
