The loop trail with in-and-out spur was a typical forest route – with limited improvements along the way and no evidence of maintenance this year. Views out over the lake will be better when the leaves are down; however, fall color should also be good along this path.

Second hike of the morning exploring trails in Panther Creek State Park. This path was the longest for the day, nearest to the first route, and had a good geocache along the way. Walked back down to Cherokee Lake for a second time.
