Back end of trail connecting to Domtar cabin was soggy  +
Trail in good condition  +
Hiked the loop and all associated spurs, then hiked the disc golf course so Razvan Marinescu could see what the park had to offer. The overlook trail was all shaded and kept us cool as were the spurring trails, the disc golf fields were partial shade but still well maintained. several spurs were overgrown and spider heavy but clearly marked with red/white/green paint on trees.  +

The basic path is the same, but seven years has changed a couple of features. Trees along the trail have grown to now provide some shade. The orange-blazed poles have been replaced with a few TVA hiker signposts. Horses were the most common user observed which churns up the gravel and leaves some deposits to avoid.  +
The loop trail with in-and-out spur was a typical forest route – with limited improvements along the way and no evidence of maintenance this year. Views out over the lake will be better when the leaves are down; however, fall color should also be good along this path.  +
R
In good shape. No problems.  +
Signs of recent clearing of blowdowns but trail is in good condition and passable by even bikes. A few minor muddy spots, but again still easily passable by bikes and hikers.  +
Good. Some decking felt loose and handrail is knocked off in wetland loop. Streams are flowing but staying where they should be. The wetlands were actually holding some water.  +
With recent rain/snow/freezing rain the trail was very wet and over running with water in several places. The ice storm had knocked down many branches and trees on to the trail, but for the first 1.5 miles no parts were impassible. Hikers that went further said closer to the finish after turning off Brumley Mountain Trail it was difficult to pass without climbing through drooping rhododendrons covered in ice and blow downs. Other hikers reported to have made it.  +
Several reflections on this trail. First, placement of marker signs could be improved, especially where many social trails spread out across rocky terrain. Missed the main path in one section both going down and coming back up. Second, views of lake will be better during the leaf-off seasons. Finally, litter was picked up at the small beach to fill a grocery bag, which was fortunately rare throughout the entire park.  +
It had some wet spots but was mostly dry and firm  +
Hiked up the road to the antenna and then around the mountain on the river mountain road trail. Once we got to the fire tower we went down the fire tower trail and took lakeside back around to the parking area.  +
Hike around the campground peninsula  +
The Holston Bluffs trail was very overgrown and was hard to see where the trail was going. We couldn't do the whole trail. The rest of the hike was great. Well marked. I think there is a trail missing where you can go around between lake hollow and lakeshore trails.  +
Not much to see. The path is well worn packed clay with some deep ruts from erosion. Appears to be primarily used by trail runners.  +
S
General path can be found, but many social trails have you wandering around the designated seven sinkholes. Signs on the back end (shared with Lost Road Trail) could be improved to direct visitors towards the parking lot.  +
Clearly marked trail follows former forest road up and over to the falls. Water flow over the thin falls and down the stream was adequate for late summer to many recent thundershowers.  +
Good. Some decking felt loose and handrail is knocked off in wetland loop. Streams are flowing but staying where they should be. The wetlands were actually holding some water.  +
During/After massive snowfall for Kingsport. Probably close to one foot. Several trees are hanging low but many will likely snap back upon thaw. But some trees may remain blocking the trail until cleared.  +
