Jamie, Beetle, and I walked from the house to the trailhead for a snow flocked hike. Despite the ominous cracks of snow laden coniferous trees and even witnessing a small set fall, we proceeded forward and completed the Forest Loop and connector to the Field Loop before deciding to make the trek back home. We both wore snowshoes which likely made the hike much easier. Although taking them off to walk on the plowed roads was a relief. Jamie and I both agreed that next time someone else can take Beetle on her hair-brained idea to hike after a snowfall. +

Got a little bit of late start. The sinkhole was filled up. Water level was high enough that the main part of the wetlands area was draining into the Black Walnut Hole. Threw some black walnuts in anyway. +

Was a cool day for a hike and it rained on us so we didn't take the two loops on the way back, just the straight in and out to the sinking waters +
Was a great evening for a hike right before sunset. +
Great cool evening hike. Waters weren't sinking because of how saturated the ground was. +

Hiked with Teni Butler and Kyle Haas. It was a great cool day for the hike. We started the morning hiking through snow at Spivey gap and then hiked down out of it. It was a little cold, but no precipitation so it was a good day for hiking. +
