Trail Overview
A nice gentle hike around the lake at Big Ridge State Park. Plenty of wildflowers and wildlife viewing opportunities along this trail.
How to get there
Once inside the park, turn left past the playground. Drive down to the shelter and park anywhere in the parking area. There is also a softball field. The west trailhead is located to the right of the ball field. The East trailhead is located on the other side of the park close to the Norton Gristmill. Once inside the park from Hwy 61 continue driving straight along the main park road past the cabins. At the bottom of the hill turn left and park at the gristmill. From the gristmill parking area walk to the left toward the group camp and the trailhead is on your left just past the lake.
