Check out Iron Mountain Trail - South.  The Gmap is supposed to have a green kml file for the AT to show a possible loop hikeTook the official ATC kml and cut it way down to have Cross Mountain to Damascus segmentChanged line to 3 pt greenImported into the clubwiki kml directory.  But it is not appearing.  Any advice? --Vhasler 22:40, 7 August 2011 (EDT)
I didn't realize that if you double clicked on a kml that it would give a nameMight want to clean up Bays Mountain Park main page by eliminating all of the pins - and then stating to double click on the colored lines to reveal the trail nameWould have to figure out how to update some that just say "path" to actual trail name.  The pins are good then for the individual trail pages to show the signage, but too clutter on main page. What do you think? If agreeable, then I'll attempt at some time. --Vhasler 20:48, 12 August 2011 (EDT)
:Name miss match. The wiki page had _ for spaces, the KML did not. I put the _ in the KML name to fix. I do not see Iron Mountain Trail.kml in the folder. Maybe you didn't u/l yet? --WikiSysop 19:45, 8 August 2011 (EDT)
::Okay, I thought I had used underline spaces in both.  Haven't hike the IMT yet, so its kml is a placeholder.  Dreaming of where to hike once this heat breaks (although not too bad out here after the evening rain).  Maybe the easy Persimmon Ridge in Jonesborough one afternoon.  Starting to think about what to put in newsletter as SC chair - good F/B hikes. (I lost the rock-paper-scissors match, thus next chair.)--Vhasler 20:14, 8 August 2011 (EDT)

Can you permanently delete as I believe it is copyrighted material.  I was using it from Sherpa Guides as they don't have a use policy, but feel better if we didn't have it.  Removing from the webpage and updating to current standard.  I might be up there next weekend with scouts. --Vhasler 20:06, 1 September 2011 (EDT)

What do you think about having a reference page to link to other websites that have been useful - and book reviews? --Vhasler 08:47, 5 August 2011 (EDT)

I see no problem for any page to have a list of links "For more information". Sounds like a good idea. --WikiSysop 19:45, 8 August 2011 (EDT)

Infobox for AT Shelters: Key photo, Name, Trail Section, Capacity (persons), Water available, Lat, Lon --Vhasler 06:59, 7 August 2011 (EDT)

I didn't realize that if you double clicked on a kml that it would give a name. Would have to figure out how to update some that just say "path" to actual trail name. The pins are good then for the individual trail pages to show the signage, but too clutter on main page.
