::It's because the standard markup sets it as a category for the page you're adding the markup to. If you want to link to the category page, precede it with a :, ala <nowiki>[[:Category:Easy]]</nowiki>, so this is would be the link to [[:Category:Easy|easy category]]. Have we come to a conclusion on names for hikes on the AT? Proposed was either  AT: US19E to Hump Mtn or US19E to Hump Mtn (AT)?  Appears to have good benefit to have these in the trail list - both for Girl Scouts this year and Mission Impossible.  --[[User:Vhasler|Vhasler]] 13:20, 6 April 2012 (MDT)
