I hiked [[Rogers Ridge Horse Trail]] today. The house you mention that you walk by, do you mean the one to the right on the peak when to the left is the Tri-State Knob? Your description seems to imply it's passed by while still in the forest of the ridge before the bald sections. If so, we saw no evidence of it. By the way, the house on the peak, while still standing has been effectively destroyed. Here's to hoping it's torn down one day. I also don't understand your final sentence in the Trail Description. We found the trail to be fairly well marked and nearly every portion clear where to continue. When was the hike that these updates were based on? Charlie and I suspected some rerouting may have occurred at some point in time. We clocked in 7.0 miles one way. When all descriptions said closer to 6.0. --[[User:Tim|Tim]] ([[User talk:Tim|talk]]) 23:12, 17 October 2015 (EDT)

The following list are Bays Mountain Hikes that are either missing KML's or the KML is missing data. Any ideas? It's a dynamic list so if there's nothing there, they've all been fixed! (at least cleared of the flag to bring them here).

Map conversion (nearly?) complete. See [[ClubWiki:Using_GMaps]] for the tips on how to use. --[[User:Tim|Tim]] ([[User talk:Tim|talk]]) 23:12, 17 October 2015 (EDT)
Good to go on the maps conversion. See [[ClubWiki:Using_GMaps]] for the help page and recent changes for converted pages. It's a bit of a pain to convert. More tedious than anything. For some reason a search for "googlemap" doesn't return all of the pages that use the old extension. We'll just have to ferret them out over time. For now I'm just going down the trails list. --[[User:WikiSysop|WikiSysop]] ([[User talk:WikiSysop|talk]]) 21:07, 21 August 2015 (MDT)

: Still despite my best efforts searching I can't seem to search out the old extension uses to make it easier to find pages needing conversion. Conversion is a fairly straight forward process

# Remove typical opener of "googlemap version="0.9" lat="36.5700" lon="-82.2325"" and change to simply "display_map" - the new extension automatically centers and zooms on the listed pins and can zoom on a loaded kml if instructed

# Make sure the opener tag has a height definition and change/add width="auto"
Here it is, try it out... [[Special:RunQuery/Trail_Search]]. Let me know what you think. We need a lot more page updating to give all the trails the correct metadata to make this search work.
# Remove any other zoom or scale and the icons definitions in the opener - usually the opener can be as simple as <nowiki><display_map type="terrain" height="400" width="auto"></nowiki> with the gkml definition if needed
# Change all of the pins to match the new format described on the [[ClubWiki:Using_GMaps#Pins|help page]]
# Change the closer tag from /googlemap to /display_map
