Four loop trails along the shores of Fontana Lake.  While open to hikers, better suited for mountain bikes and horses.

From Johnson City, TN:
#Take I-26 to Asheville.
#Then I-40 west to the exit for US-74.
#Follow US-74 for 49 miles (past Bryson City). 
#Turn right/west onto NC-28.
#Turn right/north into the Tsali Campground.

To share the trails, the following schedule has been implemented:

Thompson Loop Trail and Mouse Branch Loop Trail 
:Hiking - seven days a week 
:Horseback Riding - Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 
:Mountain Biking - Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday 

Tsali Horse Trail (Right Loop and Left Loop) 
:Hiking - seven days a week 
:Horseback Riding - Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday 
:Mountain Biking - Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
