A very compact, air chamber (thus not self-inflating or foam) sleeping pad was purchased for $60 in July 2011 to help get your gear volume down. Takes a few moments to inflate. In case of puncture, there is a small repair kit in a hidden pocket inside the bag.
When done using the pad, first make sure it is completely dry. Don’t store wet equipment. Return the pad in its storage bag.
