HT-9 is a Quest "River Runner" two person tent. HT-9 has actually been a
fairly popular rental over the past four years. As an
"older" tent, the B rental rate ($5 for a weekend) makes a cheap three-season
shelter. (None of the club's tents would really be considered fully suitable for
a real "winter".)
The 60" x 96" floor gives adequate room for two people. The most notable
feature is that the fly overhangs out far enough to give a "porch" instead of a
typical vestibule. The rear window has dual zippers, thus can be used as a
second door. It has internal mesh pockets and gear loft. Downside is the ease of
set-up is only rated 3 out of 5 during the annual equipment checks. The tent
design has sleeves which have to be navigated with the poles being attached to a
central hub as spokes.

Set up instructions:
- The four tent poles are attached to center hub at the top of the tent.
These must pass through the four short sleeves first.
- Extend poles to grommet at each corner stake strap.
- Attach clips to poles.
- Attach two short poles to the grommets at the top of the tent and extend
over door.
- Place fly over tent while attaching the two short poles to the fly.
- Clip each corner of the fly to the loop at the stake straps.
- Use four stakes to secure corners of tent. And three stakes to extend
the fly from tent at each end and in back.
