-Bring water.  Closest source is 0.5 mile south on blue-blazed side trail.  (South on AT for 300 feet, then turn right on blue-blazed trail, and descend steeply to right on old road track 0.2 mile to saddle. Bear right off road track 0.3 mile into hollow, and reach spring.) If NB, then stock up 1.7 miles south of shelter.
