As the name implies, along the crest of Iron Mountain right by the AT along the section between [[Wilbur Dam Rd to TN91|Wilbur Dam Rd and TN91]].

*Oct 2017: Installed framing under sleeping platform then covered with hardware cloth.
*1992: Caulked around nails and under ridge cap.
*Oct 1991: Replaced rafters and laths, and installed new corrugated galvanized steel roof on front, and new heavy duty corrugated galvanized steel roof on back.  Painted entire shelter.  A picnic table was installed.
*1960: Built by US Forest Service.
