The TEHCC honors its outstanding members with four different
awards. These
awards are to recognize exemplary service and active involvement
in the club. The criteria for selecting the recipients of
these awards can be found in the
Award Guidelines.
Stan
Murray Award
The TEHCC honors members from time to time for particularly
meritorious service to the club.
This is the most prestigious of all club awards.
The award honors Stanley Murray.
Murray was one of the initial members of the TEHCC,
served as chairman of Appalachian Trail Conference Board and
founded the Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy.

TEHCC and have shown a personal commitment to the upkeep of the
Appalachian Trail. In
2005, the award was renamed in honor of Frank Oglesby, founder
of the TEHCC.
